Music Maker JAM

If you are a music lover then perhaps you will like to make beats of your very own. However, by the end of the first week, it hit me like a full on crack addiction and I went into relapse, looking at how people were reacting to my songs and seeing which ones got a marginal amount of higher plays than the other. For example, if you are allowing your beats to be used in a song, but not in a commercial, indicate that in your contract.

When you're learning how to make beats and songs, it can all be overwhelming. Mixing is a subject that requires much more space than we have here, but a good start would be this video series where you can learn how to start mixing with plugins. Although it is beneficial if you have a recording studio and many years of background experience in music production, the truth is that it is not the only way to make dance music.

While we will never get tired of piano, guitar, violin, or other non-electronic instruments, we can embrace a modern soundscape where traditional drums can coexist with digital drums, or human vocals can blend with vocoders, or grand pianos can play alongside electronic synths.

We'll get more into mixing in future articles, but even the first step of adjusting the volume of all your tracks so they blend well is part of the mixing process. Make sure you get the separated track in your hands BEFORE you start recording anything (That means you have to love the beat).

But selling beats online is not only about making music. Some people start by recording the chorus meek mill type beat instrumental of the song first, and placing it in the proper section of the beat. Ok, so the first thing you need to do when producing your own music is getting the right software to make your beats on. All music producers use beat making software of some sort, as that's how they make their songs.

There are lots of DAW software choices in the market, but the following four are the most popular, especially amongst electronic music producers: Logic Pro X (for Mac only), Ableton Live , FL Studio and Reason (other well known DAW's are Cubase , Cakewalk Sonar , Reaper , Bitwig Studio and PreSonus Studio One to name a few.
